Day three…in the bag!

We spent a good portion of the day going over procedures. Fire drill practice…earthquake drill practice…security drill practice…bathroom rules… Days like this make school seem so complicated! Getting everyone on the same page for how things run is vital, though. It’s wonderful to have an insightful and creative group of students to work with. They help make every experience more exciting!

We also divided the class into two groups to begin work on a pair of readers’ theater scripts based on folk tales. We’ll spend only a few days on the plays, each group presenting in class to the other, but it is laying a foundation for future theatrical projects. I saw several impressive performances today!

We’ll be getting our textbooks tomorrow and preparing to move to our regular schedule on Monday. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me: david.cosand@medford.k12.or.us
