Wednesday Greetings to you!

First, I must say that it was wonderful to see the wide range of creative science fair projects come through the door this morning. We have some highly original and inquisitive students.

Students who did not bring their project displays or research packets today need to bring them first thing tomorrow morning. Judging will take place between 9am and noon tomorrow.

The Science Fair itself is tomorrow ( Thursday, December 4) from 6:00 to 7:30pm. It would be wonderful to see you all there!

Monday, I gave the students information about the major 2nd Quarter collaborative research project we’ll be working on between now and Winter Break. Here is a PDF version of the project description and the scoring rubric the students collaboratively created:

Finally, I am very glad to be able to tell you that the school district technology team has begun installing our ActivBoard interactive whiteboard in the classroom. They should complete the installation tomorrow evening, so we’ll be unp and running Friday morning! We’ve already been using the school’s ActivBoard this year, but it will be amazing to have one here in the room. The project scoring guide above was created as a group project using he ActivBoard.
